BLOSSOM ART INSTALLATION (WORCESTER, 2025)
Public Art Installation – Solo Exhibition
Blossom is a full-scale installation designed and built by students in the Parametric Design Studio. Made from over 100 individually 3D-printed parts, the structure uses a custom-designed interlocking systemfor holding pieces together.
The form opens upward, like a blooming object in space. Each piece was modeled, printed, and tested by hand. The print density varies across the structure; denser at the base for strength, lighter at the top to reduce load.
Students worked through sketch models, digital prototyping, and hands-on assembly to bring it to life. The result is a unified but non-repetitive form, grounded in logic but expressive in shape. Viewed from below, Blossom creates layered shadows and constantly shifting perspectives.
Blossom was exhibited on campus as a public installation, highlighting student led experimentation in digital design, material systems, and physical making.
